Live in a flat - but want to grow

Hey everyone,

I live in a flat where I have 1 small sunny windowsill and one shady (gets small amount of direct sunlight, but mostly shady), Just wondering what kind of things I can grow on them - I'm sorted for herbs as the person downstairs grows them and gives them to me on a regular basis - any ideas?

You can try micro greens, pea shoots (grow to 8-10"). Sprouts are always easy.

When I used to live in a flat I set up a window box outside the window with some brackets and a narrow rectangular pot and grew strawberries. They had a great smell when the breeze blew through the house!
